Orda Cave
Ordinskaya Cave is the longest gypsum cave in both greater Russia and the whole world. This area attracts many divers. Its location is Perm Krai, which is not far from the regional center of Orda, after which the cave got its name. The main landmark to the Ordinsky cave is the Kungur river, on one of the banks of which it is located.
The cave was discovered a long time ago, but it was not studied until 1990. The entrance to the cave itself is located in Mount Kazakovskaya, which has a height of 50 meters above the river level. The entrance hole looks like a sinkhole with a width of 5 meters and a height of 2 meters. In order to make it convenient to enter the cave, a ladder was built here, and electricity was also provided. Its beginning is the Crystal grotto, on one side of which there is a lake named Ice. If you choose the path to the left, you can get to the grotto called the Ice Palace. It is from this place that two more lakes originate – the Main One and the Warm One. These lakes are especially attractive for divers, as they provide access to the underwater world of the cave. The local lake waters have a very low temperature, as it should be for such reservoirs. The water has a bluish color, besides it is very clean and transparent.
The cave is also full of life. Its main inhabitants are small crustaceans.
But to see the beautiful underwater world of this area, you need to be an experienced diver. The most famous cave galleries were named after the cities from which the underground world was explored. The most famous among them are the Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Moscow and other passages.
In winter, the Ordinsky cave gets a particularly beautiful view, because it is covered with ice canopies that do not melt for a long time.
Nowadays, the studied section of cave passages is about 4,600 meters, including 300 meters of dry surface. Today, cave divers are still continuing to explore cave spaces and believe in new discoveries.
The very first Russian diving base has been set up near the Ordinskaya cave, where it is also possible to spend the night.
