Yonaguni Monument
The Yonaguni Monument – is a huge entity that was found in the underwater world near Yonaguni Island, which is Japan's most extreme territory.
Among all the monuments of this state, the Yonaguni monument is the most mysterious. This area was found in 1987 by local divers who monitored the life of predatory sharks. The amazing monument immediately gained a lot of disputes and debates among Japanese scientists.
The Yonaguni Monument is a number of stone formations, which include huge formations, as well as various pillars. They are located in the underwater kingdom, at a distance of 5 to 40 meters from the surface. The most noticeable education was given the name « turtle » through the resemblance to this animal.
Due to the strong enough underwater flows, diving to this Japanese attraction is not entirely safe, although this fact did not prevent the area from becoming the most famous for diving in Japan.
Until today, there are many disagreements and disputes around this underwater monument, namely the reasons for the formation. There is no single version put forward by scientists whether this underwater find is artificial or whether it is of natural origin. Some scientists are of the opinion that strong water flows, as well as the erosion process, have transformed the bottom of the ocean for millennia, that this – monument is part of a solid stone rock. But, according to others, – this monument belongs to the hands of mankind, as indicated by a large number of smooth straight edges and corners. If this opinion is true, then the second question arises, why, by whom and for what purpose the Yonaguni Monument was erected.
