Nymphenburg

In the west of Munich is the most magnificent landmark of the whole country, which is known as the Nymphenburg Palace. This building has been decorating the area since 1664. Nymphenburg is, without a doubt, the most important and majestic palace ensemble of the entire European part. The local palaces, along with the main structure, as well as the wonderful landscape, deserve special attention from tourists.

Nymphenburg

The building, which was one of the first to be erected on this territory, is still the most important today. Thanks to the coming Baroque era, as well as the luxury and wealth of Bavaria, which was not going to concede to other states in its greatness, this incomparable palace appeared along with a gorgeous park area.

The construction of the palace took place under the supervision of architect Agnostino Barelli by order of Elector Ferdinand Maria. The date of completion of the building is considered to be 1675, although later it was repeatedly completed and rebuilt.

In its inner part, the main hall looks tempting, which is made in the Rococo style. There is a famous gallery here, the walls of which are decorated with portraits of the most beautiful European women. The office, where the black and red lacquer panels are located, also attracts tourists.

In 1715, a magnificent garden appeared on the territory of the palace, which many years later was given a free "English" style. Since 1792, the palace, along with its park area, has been open to the public.

The founders of the Nymphenburg Palace are the Wittelsbach dynasty, which led Bavaria for seven centuries and, in part, even in our time, owns it. Nowadays, of course, the Wittelsbachs do not rule the country, but the people respect them.

The view of today's palace ensemble is quite magnificent. There is a canal filled with water throughout the park. Its beginning is represented by a magnificent cascade, as well as sculptures in honor of ancient gods. It was originally planned and stretches far into the city. A lot of swans gather on the local ponds, which feel quite agile.

In front of the palace itself, there is a large semicircular square with regular lawns and various flower beds. The entrance to the park is the arches that are located on the right and left sides of the main pavilion. The entrance to the park is absolutely accessible to everyone. There are many different structures throughout the park, which are considered secondary palaces.

For more than a century, there has been a porcelain manufactory here, where refined products are presented, the price of which is quite high.

The Nymphenburg Palace simply complements each other along with its park area. Of course, this huge European castle, which was headed by kings, is visited by a large number of tourists from all over the world.
