Chambord Castle
Among the wonderful architectural buildings located in the valley of the Laura River in France, an excellent fortress castle called Shambor rises. This majestic building was erected in honor of the lady, who was close to the heart of Francis I. Shambor Castle is considered the most famous and majestic, it simply strikes with its gracefulness.
The castle is a wonderful representative of Renaissance. This huge architectural creation of mankind has at least 400 rooms. The real competition to the snow-white handsome on the banks of the river can be made only by Versailles. Around Shambor Castle there is an excellent well-groomed forest park, where the local nobility, and in our time, loves to arrange a royal hunt. A large wall is located around the perimeter of the park, which stretches close to 32 km.
Champor Castle itself was mixed and rebuilt, but everywhere there are traces of King Francis I, who was fond of hunting and architecture. The estate of the king is the main building – a five-story donjon, as well as two adjacent ones. Each floor of the main structure has four square and four round rooms. A distinctive feature of the castle architecture is also the stairs, of which there are as many as 77 pieces. The layout of the building itself is quite unusual and confusing, which is even evidenced by legends that tell us that such a chaotic nature of the rooms are not easy, but so that the king’s favorites could not meet. An interesting enough idea is the spiral staircase, which has two inputs. It is a unique idea of its kind that belongs to Leonardo da Vinci himself. This great man is credited with another attraction of Shambor Castle – a magnificent terrace with which you can admire the diversity of the local towers, chimneys and other buildings.
The castle has preserved royal furniture, dishes, as well as household items that are presented for publicity. Royal chambers are also shown here, and even the Francisco l bed itself. The decoration of almost all the rooms in the mansion is a wonderful fireplace. The main hall of the castle is located on the third floor, where chic royal banquets were held at one time.
In the castle of Shambor there are museums where hunting tools are demonstrated, although the local park itself belongs to the lists of the country's nature heritage.
Champor Castle – is one of the most visited attractions throughout France. Various exhibitions are presented to tourists, and in the evening, the lights of hundreds of bulbs light up here, which creates a fabulous atmosphere.
