Island of the Dolls

An ambiguous place on the whole planet can safely be called "Bap Island" ( La Isla de la Munecas ), located in Mexico. This creepy place is worth visiting tourists with steel nerves, otherwise these innocent dolls, which previously played the most ordinary children, can very long « settle in » in your head.

"The "Bap of Puppets" is located in one of the districts of Mexico City. It is surrounded by channels that cut this territory. In this terrible place on the trees, plastic dolls are hung, which are simply disfigured.

This area, of course, has more than one legend regarding the occurrence of these scary dolls. Some legend says that to hang these children's toys was originally started by a local resident back in the 50s of the last century, believing that they would protect him from evil spirits. The other version sounds something like this: a girl drowned in the river near the area, and her dad hung dolls around the neighborhood so that, a roaming soul, she would not be bored. Since then, for 50 years, Julio has been hanging dolls on trees until he drowned in the lake.

Relatives of the man got this island after his death and made a real tourist center here.

Nowadays, on the "Bap Island" there are at least 1000 very different ugly dolls that are hung on tree branches or nailed to them. Their appearance is simply exciting blood, because usually dolls are associated with childhood, children, joy, and the local picture is not at all like that. All of them have a terrifying, soul-shaking look with shabby clothes, without various parts of the body, hair, eyes, etc. Maybe when they hung themselves, they had a completely different look, but after the past time, this is just a picture from the worst horror movie. It is such a attraction of Mexico that will not leave indifferent a single tourist and will be remembered for a long time.
