Before visiting the Hong Kong Science Museum, you should know that it is prohibited to come closer than a meter to the exhibits, but fines for trying to touch museum valuables do not apply here. Reinforcing tubes form loops and spirals that intertwine and form a huge structure 22 meters high. Several times a day, according to a schedule, the machine is activated. When you turn on the device, a continuous stream of balls appears; it is easy to spend several tens of minutes watching the rolling balls.

The Hong Kong Science Museum is a four-story building, with each floor housing a collection dedicated to specific areas of science.
- At the entrance, on the ground floor, there are exhibits that clearly show the work of light and sound. After studying the basic laws of nature, you can look into the hall with mirrors, where you can laugh at the crooked reflections. There is also a gallery on this floor where you can learn more about environmental protection.
- On the second floor the basic principles of electricity are demonstrated and the operation of magnets is shown. You can plunge headlong into science and learn the most famous and interesting news from the world of technology, study the features of occupational health and safety.
- On the third floor there are many models of household appliances, and there are exhibitions about telecommunications, transport and home appliances.
- The fourth floor will be interesting for children. There are various models and exhibits here, you can study them both visually and by trying each of them.
How to get to the museum
You can get to the Hong Kong Science Museum by MRT; the nearest station is East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (exit B2). You can also use public transport; next to the museum there is the East Tsim Sha Tsui stop, where buses stop: No. 26, 35A, 41A, 98D, 208, 13X and 973. On Wednesday you can visit the Hong Kong Science Museum for free, but you should prepare for a big number of visitors, and Thursday is a day off. On weekdays the exhibition is open from 10:00 to 19:00, on weekends and holidays the opening hours increase to 21:00.
