Local residents greatly value this natural site and protect it from the negative influence of humans.
History of Copper Canyon
It began with the fact that the Spanish colonialists sailed to Mexico and began to take local residents into slavery. A group of conquistadors arrived in the Canyon, captured local residents, and forced them to work in very difficult conditions, extracting huge amounts of minerals here - gold, copper, ore and silver. It is for this reason that they decided to call the place Copper Canyon.
The total area is 70 thousand square kilometers. The canyon is surprisingly rich in various types of wood - a large number of oaks and pines grow on its western side. The main tree species here are Mexican fir trees, which form an entire plateau and cover most of the canyon. The climate in the canyon is quite familiar - it is moderate.
