Church of the Transfiguration of Szentendre

The Transfiguration Church of Szentendre is considered a symbol of the city. Szentendre was founded by the Serbs. This is one of the largest historical "corners" of the whole of Hungary. The townspeople call the Transfiguration Church Szentendre Tabachska, since "tabaci", translated from Serbian, means leather tanners who have lived in this area of the city for many years.
