Yosemite National Park

Yosemite - US National Park, spread over 3081 km2. The park is known for its terrain: magnificent granite mountains, rivers with clean water, the highest waterfalls, forests from the sequoia and rich animal world. Thanks to this, the park annually visits over 3 million tourists, but usually only the Yosemite Valley is visited from the entire vast territory of the park.

Yosemite National Park

The terrain formed about 10 million years ago, when the granite mountains of Sierra Nevada rose and bowed so that the western slopes became more gentle and the eastern edges were steep. As a result, deep canyons formed. During the ice age, there were glaciers more than a kilometer thick and when they crawled, they formed a trembling valley, attracting many tourists in our time.

Yosemite Valley is only 1% of the park area, but in fact it attracts all tourists. Many climbers have chosen Mount El-Captain, whose height is 2307 meters, due to the fact that there are routes of any difficulty level on the mountain. In the Yosemite Valley, one can observe a unique phenomenon when the rays of the Sun are reflected from the streams of water, creating the effect of "fiery waterfall". In the park you can notice such beautiful places as the meadow of Dana and Tuolomsky, the mountain range of Clark and Cafedral. The whole beauty of the mountains can be seen using the routes Pacific-Cross and Sierra-Cross, passing along the crests of rocks. The highest point in the mountains is the Liel Rock, whose height is 3997 meters.

Thanks to the sheer rocks in Yosemite Park, there are many waterfalls that show all their beauty in spring and summer, when glaciers melt heavily. There is also the highest waterfall in North America - Yosemite, whose height is 739 meters. No less beautiful are the watersheds of Ribbon and the Fata of the Bride.

On the western border of the park, tail forests predominate, consisting of yellow pine, Lambert pines, fir, calocedrus, pseudo-south, in some places forests from velvety oak fall. Yosemite has a rather mild climate, due to which there is a wide variety of flora and fauna. Of the animals, it is easy to meet bears, lynx, black-tailed deer, foxes.
