Brief description of the country
Malaysia is located in Southeast Asia. More than 33 million people live in an area of almost 330,000 square kilometers. Translated from Sanskrit, Malaysia means "mountain country". The highest mountain is Kinabalu (4095 meters). There are also many equipped beaches. The most popular are Long Beach, Chenang, Turtle Beach.
Malaysia is suitable for holidays all year round. The best time to visit the east coast is from May to October. At this time, almost no precipitation falls, but rains do not affect the weather. In the western part, the dry season starts in September and ends in February. The mountainous part receives the most precipitation. It is not worth taking warm clothes when planning a trip. They may be needed only in urban shopping centers where air conditioning works.
Most of the territory is covered with forests. Even in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur there is a forest area. Tigers and leopards are rare, but there are many squirrels, gibbons, elephants, rhinos and bears.
