Nambung
Nambung National Park is a wonderful natural park located 245 km from the capital of the state of Western Australia, the largest city of Perth.
The total area of Nambung Nature Reserve is approximately 184 km2. It includes unrealistically beautiful places in Australia, including entire groves of evergreen eucalyptus trees, sand dunes, flower glades, as well as the amazing Pinnacles Desert, which is known as the Desert of Towers. Nambung National Park has officially existed since 1956.
This name was given to the natural park for a reason, because in translation from the language of the aborigines inhabiting this territory, it sounds like "Curved". And that's because this is exactly the shape of the river that flows here, after which this beautiful area was named.
I am simply fascinated by the lush vegetation that is represented in the park. These colorful, lush places contrast with the surrounding Pinnacles Desert. Her image is a real decoration of various postcards and postage stamps of this country. The Pinnacles Desert has gained popularity due to the many natural limestone towers scattered throughout the area. Due to natural processes, they have acquired a wide variety of shapes and colors.
The desert figures in Nambung Park are very popular among tourists from different countries, although they were discovered only in the 1960s. The formation of such unusual figures in the middle of the desert is explained by the fact that an ocean once existed in this place.
The animals that inhabit the territory of Nambung National Park are quite diverse. A striking representative of this area is the grey kangaroo. These animals come into contact with people quite well, if people treat them well. There are quite a few reptiles in the reserve, among which there are pythons and various types of lizards. Emu ostriches and black cockatoos are also not uncommon in the park. Among the representatives of the bird world, the kite is quite remarkable.
