Nambung
Nambung National Park – is a wonderful natural park located 245 km from the capital of Western Australia – the largest city in Perth.
The total area of the Nambung Nature Reserve is approximately 184 km2. It includes unrealistically beautiful places in Australia, among which whole groves of evergreen eucalyptus, sand dunes, floral glades, as well as the amazing Pinnacles Desert, which is known as the Tower Desert. Nambung National Park officially exists since 1956.
This name natural park got for a reason, because in translation from the language that inhabits this territory of Aboriginal people, it sounds like « Curved ». And all because, here it is precisely this form that the river flows, in honor of which this beautiful area was named.
It just delights the lush vegetation that is presented in the park. These colorful, juicy places look contrasting against the background of the adjacent Pinnakles desert. Its image is a real decoration of various postcards and postage stamps of a given country. The Pinnakles Desert gained popularity thanks to the many natural limestone towers located throughout the territory. Thanks to natural processes, they have acquired a wide variety of shapes as well as colors.
Desert figures in Nambung Park are very popular among tourists from different countries, although they were discovered only in the 1960s. The formation of such unusual figures in the middle of the desert is explained by the fact that the ocean once existed in this place.
The animals that inhabit the territory of the Nambung National Park are quite diverse. A bright representative of the area is a gray kangaroo. These animals make good contact with people if people treat them well. There are not few reptiles in the reserve, among which there are pythons and various types of lizards. Emu ostriches, black kakadu are also not uncommon in the park. Among the representatives of the bird world, the kite is rather remarkable.
