A bit of history

Count Miklos Zici was a big fan of Baroque houses and structures, he traveled a lot in Europe and always admired beautiful buildings. For this reason, the count decided to build a similar palace for himself, and he chose the famous European architect at that time, Henrik Jaeger, who designed a luxurious mansion and was liked by all members of the Zichi family. The palace of the Zichi family immediately became the center where the cultural life of the area took place - Staraya Buda. Today, the palace of the Zichi family has lost a little of its grandeur, this is due to the fact that it was severely damaged by the Second World War, and some of the walls of the building were damaged. However, this does not prevent the palace from attracting thousands of enthusiastic tourists.

A special feature of this palace is that opposite it there are several significant sights of Budapest at once - the church of St. Peter and St. Paul, in which numerous representatives of the house of Zichi were buried.
