Quebrada de Humahuaca – a colorful area that belongs to Argentina. This exquisite valley, located on the northwestern side of the state, has been part of UNESCO World Heritage Registers since 2003.

The Argentinean valley of Cabrada de Umauac – is the most beautiful among all that are located in northwestern Argentina. Its territory is 155 km in length and belongs to the province of Zhuzhuy. Here comes a river called Rio Grande, which in the autumn becomes very shallow and even, in some places, it can be crossed. But when the rainy season comes, it transforms into a full-water one and confirms its name, which means « Big River ». In the valley of Kebrada de Umauak, one cannot help but notice the beautiful rocks, which are especially beautiful in this area. They contain several breeds of various shades and flowers.

The oldest settlements of Native Americans on these lands arose here more than 10,000 years ago. Here the general economic, as well as the traditional denouement of this region is concentrated. Even in medieval times, the caravan trail of the Incas passed through the valley of Kebrada de Umauak, traces of which are clearly visible in this territory. Also in this area left its mark on society, which dealt with various primitive affairs in the local lands. Local religion, celebrations, agricultural equipment – as evidence of the presence of ancient humanity on these lands. Various structures have also reached our times, including fortresses, caves.

In the province of Zhuzhuy there is a place of Pukar, which means the stone fortress that the people of Inca laid out. This castle has a peculiarity, because it was built according to the special system of this people. On the Golo Devil Mountain there is a wonderful Botanical Garden, visiting which, in front of tourists, an impressive panorama of the surrounding lands opens. And to see here there really is that, because the valley of the Kebrada de Umauak gorge is a very attractive area that is decorated with embossed colorful shores of the Rio Grande.

Among the indescribable natural beauty, there are small settlements, the local inhabitants of which, with pleasure, support the traditions of people that were indigenous.

This is a very interesting part of the Argentinean lands, with beautiful landscapes and a population that is only a small degree influenced by the modern world.
